Alisé M. Wilson, an alumnus clerk of Ohio’s First District Court of Appeals, brings to Durst Kerridge a unique combination of trial and appellate experience.

From 2021 to 2024, Alisé served as a Judicial Staff Attorney to the Honorable Judge Ginger S. Bock of the First District. During her tenure at the First District, Alisé handled appeals spanning the full panoply of cases the Court hears, including Civil, Criminal, Domestic Relations, Juvenile and Probate appeals. Alisé’s insight into Appellate Practice gleaned from her clerkship is an asset to the Firm’s knowledge base.

Alisé began her career as Juvenile Trial Counsel with the Office of the Hamilton County Public Defender, where she discovered her passion for trial advocacy. She then served as a Staff Attorney with Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE), where she is credited with founding the Veterans Legal Assistance Project, providing U.S. Military Veterans with pro bono legal representation in connection with V.A. Benefits and myriad other legal matters. Immediately prior to clerking at the First District, Alisé worked in private practice handling civil rights, criminal defense, and juvenile and domestic relations cases.

Alisé is a passionate advocate in the arena of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strives for change through her leadership and community participation. She is active in the Cincinnati NAACP, where she has served as Chairperson of the Legal Redress Committee and an Executive Committee Member. While at the First District, Alisé spearheaded diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and helped to coordinate implicit bias trainings.

Additionally, Alisé served five years on the Colerain Township Board of Zoning Appeals, during which time she was elected as the Secretary, Vice-Chairperson and, in her final year, Chairperson.

Alisé is an Ohio native and lives in Fairfield with her husband, twin daughters and son.
