Very exciting start to the week for Durst Kerridge! We were hired last week to represent Taste of Belgium, a Cincinnati restaurant group that was twice featured on Guy Fieri’s show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, in an urgent litigation matter. While we frequently represent out-of-state companies who are sued in Ohio, representing a prominent local company like Taste of Belgium is always a point of pride.
Taste of Belgium was facing a threatened lockout from crucial space that Taste of Belgium shares with another organization at the property where its commissary is located. Upon being hired, we triaged the situation and immediately came up with a plan of action, dividing up the various tasks internally for maximum efficiency. We filed suit and a motion for temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction. The TRO hearing began on Friday afternoon and continued on Monday morning. In the end, the Judge issued a TRO in favor of our client, enjoining the threatened lockout. The Cincinnati Enquirer wrote about the case, and WLWT5, whose report is shown here:

Durst Kerridge’s entire team attended the hearing, as is typical when we have major court appearances. Needless to say, I could not be more proud of our team, and it is an absolute pleasure representing Taste of Belgium.
Also worth noting, this case adds to Durst Kerridge’s considerable experience handling cases assigned to Hamilton County’s Commercial Docket, which was instituted approximately a year ago, in 2024.
