Personal Litigation Matters & Ancillary Private Client Services

While we generally practice commercial litigation, we additionally represent individuals – often owners, officers and employees of business clients for whom we serve as “outside general counsel” and those individuals’ family members and business associates – in their personal litigation matters.

For non-litigation issues outside of our areas of expertise, we refer matters to other law firms with whom we liaise closely to ensure that our clients are successfully represented.

Personal civil litigation and other private client matters in which we have helped clients include:

R

Complex Personal Injury Matters

Our attorneys have successfully litigated complex injury cases that most personal injury firms are unequipped to handle or opt to refer out, including trucking accidents, train derailment disasters and products liability matters.

R

Real Estate

We handle a wide array of commercial and residential real estate litigation. Transactional real estate matters are referred to qualified counsel.

R

Tort Cases

We have represented individuals in tort cases involving defamation, fraud, assault and battery (including sexual assault matters, on both the plaintiff and defense side), intentional infliction of emotional distress and other claims.

R

Domestic Relations

Divorce can cause great disruption to a family-owned or other closely-held business. We do not practice family law (except in our Appellate Practice when specially hired to handle a family law appeal) but refer high-net-worth divorce and other family law matters to a top Cincinnati family law firm with whom we collaborate closely.

R

Disputes Involving Restrictive Covenants in Employment and Related Contracts

We represent both employers and employees in these cases, which generally involve Non-Compete Agreements, Non-Soliciation Agreements and/or Confidentiality Agreements and often involve issues relating to trade secrets.
